Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in transforming data into strategic insights. You will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, building data models, and developing insightful visualizations using tools like SQL, Python, R, and Power BI. Your expertise will drive decision-making across multiple teams and projects.
This role is primarily remote, but candidates must reside in the Philadelphia area for occasional on-site meetings and collaborative efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Use SQL to query and manipulate data, and employ Python or R to perform statistical analysis, identify trends, and forecast outcomes.
- Visualization & Communication: Design and maintain intuitive dashboards and reports in Power BI to present insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data through rigorous validation and cleaning processes.
- Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across various departments to understand data needs, provide insights, and recommend strategies to enhance performance.
- Automation: Streamline recurring reporting tasks and processes by leveraging scripting and automation tools.
- Insights Delivery: Translate complex data findings into concise recommendations to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a data analyst role or a similar capacity, working with large datasets and cross-functional teams.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong SQL skills for querying and database management.
- Advanced knowledge of Python and/or R for statistical modeling and data manipulation.
- Expertise in Power BI for building interactive dashboards and data visualizations.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets to drive decision-making.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Location Requirement: Must reside within commuting distance of Philadelphia for occasional on-site collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with additional visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Knowledge of ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with machine learning models and predictive analytics.
- Certifications in analytics or data visualization platforms are a plus.
