Job Description SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Gathering: Collect data from various sources, such as electronic health records (EHR), EPIC billing & clinical systems, and other healthcare databases.
- Data Entry: Enter and maintain data in relevant databases or software systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Data Cleaning: Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in data to ensure high-quality datasets according to specifications.
- Revenue Analysis: Analyze financial data related to patient billing, claims, reimbursements, and revenue cycles to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle, such as denial rates, payment turnaround times, and collection rates
- Report Generation: Create and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports to management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations.
- Visualization: Develop charts, graphs, and dashboards to present data insights in a clear and accessible manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications 1. A Baccalaureate Degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university; and, 2. Two years of experience in business, government, hospital, educational or a non-profit organization in analysis, development and implementation of systems and sub-systems.Familiarity with EDP applications and data processing programs; or, 3. A Masters Degree in Management, Business Administration or approved related fields from an accredited college or university may be equated to a maximum of one year of related experience; or, 4. A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
Department Preferences - 1+ year in handling sensitive data, administrative work, Data Entry, Reporting, Revenue Cycle terminologies
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a strong preference for Excel.
- Experience with patient accounting practices.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with Tableau or other BI platforms.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for learning new skills and adapting to new roles.
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent research and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
