Data Analytics Auditor General Summary: Data Analytics Auditor will help the teamdeliver valuable recommendations to mitigate risk, strengthen controlstructures, and improve operational efficiency. The primary focus will beworking with Internal Audit leadership to develop and execute a centralizedprocess for supporting audit project teams and company initiatives by providingservices such as data mining, statistical analysis, creating dashboards and reporting.To help improve Internal Audit's ability to focus resources in the rightplaces, this individual will be responsible for integrating data analytics intoannual risk assessment, project planning and execution. Principal Duties andResponsibilities:
- Support Internal Audit team members to understand their requirements and develop solutions that will support data analysis needs.
- Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytical tools for audit project teams and the business.
- Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis from internal and third- party data sources.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear and creative manner to include dashboards and board reporting.
- Maintain and enhance the department's internal KPI reporting.
- Execute audit programs in a timely manner and in accordance with internal audit policies, procedures, methodologies, and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, as assigned.
- Attend meetings related to audits and capture key risks and controls at the direction of the audit manager.
- Conduct research and successfully complete assigned training requirements necessary to stay current with industry skills.Deliver training to the department on standard BI and analytic tools.
- Interact with management and staff to obtain an understanding of the relevant risks, controls, and processes.
- Establishes relationships with business and auditors to meet the operational needs of the organization.
Minimum Knowledge,Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university - preferably in a relevant field of study (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or Math).
- 0-2 years of experience performing data analysis for complex audit projects. Experience in banking or other financial institutions is preferred.
- Project/task management skills, ability to manage executing against multiple priorities.
- Experience with analyzing structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with statistical analysis and database querying tools such as R Studio, SAS, Tableau, PowerBI, and/or Python.
- Able to identify and address data imperfections.
- Demonstrates clear, concise and accurate, written and verbal communications.
- Relevant professional certification is a plus.
