As a Data Analytics Senior Associate, you'll focus on middle-market transactions, serving dynamic organizations with experienced professionals who bring a full range of advisory services to validate, optimize and create value for the Transaction Advisory Practice – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. Our Financial Due Diligence solution is comprised of several integrated capabilities that support our clients' needs throughout the transaction lifecycle.From day one, you'll be empowered to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.Your day-to-day may include:Extensive exposure to granular accounting data, including reconciliations between financials and detailed dataConsolidate and synthesize data into actionable visualizations, focused on insights and action itemsProvide observations into behavior, trends, financials and business operations through data analysis and the development of business intelligence visualsDevelop dashboards and clearly articulate the prominent themes and insights of the engagementUtilize advanced business intelligence tools including complex calculations, table calculations, mapping, data blending and optimization of data extractsManage client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines and lead change efforts effectivelyWork closely with Grant Thornton teams to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues, leveraging other workstream findings to shape your analysisDevelop and maintain strong internal and client relationships to provide maximum value to our clients through the delivery of our full solutionTeam with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development callsMeet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)Other duties as assignedYou have the following technical skills, qualifications, and abilities:Bachelor's degree in Accounting requiredMinimum 2 years of related work experience in a similar function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level requiredCPA certification and/or relevant professional certification preferredExperience in Accounting is requiredProfessional working knowledge of Tableau or Power BI (visualization), SQL or Alteryx (data cleansing), and Microsoft Excel requiredAbility to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practiceStrong leadership, business development, recruitment, training, and mentoring skillsExcellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communication skillsCan travel as needed, but typically less than 10%The base salary range for this position in New York only is between $112,300 and $168,500.#LI-MF1About UsAt Grant Thornton, we believe in making business more personal and building trust into every result – for our clients and you.
