Primary areas of responsibilities of the Data Center Analyst include support and maintenance of the computer room hardware including peripherals, processing of routine and non-routine computer jobs, monitoring computer systems, coordinating computer operation problems within the organization, the monitoring of HELP DESK calls and issues and general software and hardware support. In addition to preparing and delivering reports, the Analyst will perform routine day-to-day maintenance of selected systems hardware, tape drives, and related equipment. The Analyst will monitor system consoles for error lights and messages, failures, network malfunctions, and to make procedural and/or operational corrections as needed or report system problems to the appropriate technical staff for resolution. The incumbent will provide support on advanced information systems in connection with the Data Center Operations, the daily operations of the hospital and the various applications being utilized. The Data Center Analyst is responsible for using his/her own judgment and initiative in diagnosing problems of a low or moderate level of complexity and based on his or her findings determine a plan of action. The Analyst will advise management of any issues or problems that should arise during routine daily operations in the Data Center or in the support of applications used throughout the hospital. The Data Center Analyst, depending on his/her experience level will, troubleshoot and resolve operational issues for end-users, and assist with end-user questions or programming inquiries. The Analyst will be responsible for communicating with and working closely with fellow co-worker in the support of all computer systems owned or utilized by Self Regional Healthcare. The Analyst will be responsible for any other job as assigned by the Manager of Application Development Services.Minimum requirement - High School Diploma and an equivalent two (2) years of experience. Desired - Associate degree and equivalent two (2) years of experience. Must have the ability to communicate in an effective manner and interact with different levels of management, with all Information Technology (IT) personnel, and with all departmental clients. Experience in the operation of mainframe hardware, software, as well as processing methodologies. Analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills a plus. Good listening and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, and able to handle high-pressure situations. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required. Highly self motivated and directed with an attention to detail. Processes strong customer service orientation and mindset. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Extensive practical knowledge of data input and output procedures, job control processes, and system backup protocols.
