Data Center Security OfficerWage: $18.47Data Center Experience Required Job Description:
Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process; assists visitors with legitimate needs to gain entry efficiently. Provides a courteous, respectful, and pleasant interaction with all client employees and visitors, ensuring a positive image of the client and its security department. Communicates openly, honestly, and responsively in all situations, offering information about the site and surrounding area as authorized. Monitors entrances and exits, preventing unauthorized entry; operates gate and examines vehicle contents; monitors remote entrances via CCTV. Patrols assigned site on foot or in a vehicle, identifying unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons. Protects evidence or incident scenes during emergencies or security investigations; sets up barriers and provides directions to others. Prepares accurate logs and reports using standard grammar and computer entry; inspects security control logs and takes necessary actions. Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activities to client representatives, company management, or public safety authorities. Responds promptly to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, bomb threats, and hazardous materials, following established procedures. Ensures compliance with property removal policies and identifies client products or materials among items carried by employees or visitors. Performs other duties as assigned or necessary for the site's security operations. Requirements:
- Previous experience in a security-related role, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training is a plus.
