Data Center/Mission Critical Superintendent - TravelYour new companyThis nationally recognized general contractor provides a wide range of construction services across the nation, and is ranked as one of the top 30 largest contractors in the US. This client delivers a premium construction experience on every project it builds. For more than 85 years, this company has been elevating the business of building nationwide.Please note that this role is for a ground up Commercial Data Center project and at least three years of experience is required. Facility Management or Maintenance, HVAC and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing will not correlate to this opportunity.Your new role
- Assist bidding mechanical and electrical trades
- Manage Equipment Procurement process
- Develop MEP critical path schedule
- Coordinate and track critical path construction and startup activities
- Review mechanical and electrical submittals
- Organize and conduct project meetings for critical MEP activities
- Develop MOP for critical work in live environments
- Work with subcontractors and design team to provide conflict resolution for MEP issues
- Coordinate and manage the quality control process for MEP systems construction
- Manage startup and pretesting of mechanical and electrical systems
- Coordinate and support third party commissioning activities
- Manage commissioning documentation
What you'll need to succeed
- A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
- 3 years combined experience in Mission Critical Construction, Hospital Construction, MEP Project Management, or Mechanical and Electrical System Start-up and Commissioningwithin a Data Center environment
- Strong communication skills; verbal and written
- Strong leadership skills; able to build and lead a team
- Capable in coordinating and scheduling MEP activities
- Effectively utilize computer and software technology in the performance of duties
- Preconstruction / Equipment Procurement Experience
- Willing to travel
