Need a data center technician for:Connectivity and Hardware Support for IMACD - Installation, Move, Add, Change, DecommissioningVoice and Data CablingRack and Stack of data center hardwarePatchingSeeking technicians to perform cabling/connectivity and to support network hardware for the build-out of a new data center. The work will include all types of patching, break-fix, circuit provision and recovery, installing switches, disconnect/reconnect of desktop and networking equipment, rack and stack of Data Center Hardware (Server, Network and Storage) and provisioning of connectivity to Data Center Hardware.SHIFT:Tuesday thru Friday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PMResponsibilities:Audit and document existing cabling installations.Audit and document desktop configuration, including patching and power, for existing and proposed user locations.Compile patching schedules as required.Utilize Cable Management Software as required for patching planning.Power down and disconnect all desktop equipment including any peripherals ensuring all identified and labeled correctly ready for reconnection.IMAC-D of all desktop equipment including any peripheralsCarry out Data Wiping activities by use of Software tools.Carry out all types of patching including voice & data, copper & fibre.Carry out testing and fault finding on Copper and Fibre CablingCarry out all types of Copper Voice and Data terminations as requiredCarry out surveys and update drawings and schedules.Install and test analog, digital and VOIP telephone handsets and provide headset support as required.Build, Rack and Stack Network and Server hardware in Data Centre Halls and provide connectivity.Perform Network Hardware break-fix activities e.g. replacing power supplies, modules, fans etc.Experience should include:Working in Voice and Data Cabling environmentMoves Adds and Changes environmentThorough understanding and practical experience of fibre and copper voice and data cabling including terminating, test equipment, test parameters and test techniquesKnowledge of Rack and Stack of Server Hardware and Rack and Stack SystemsGood knowledge of Service Now (and other Process and Asset Management Tools)Good knowledge of Server PatchingKnowledge of LAN / WAN and Active devicesPowered by JazzHR
