  • At least three years' experience in data processing or a related area in either the business or school environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or related is preferred.
  • Coursework in SQL, Database Management, and related is preferred.
  • Must have experience working with modern student information systems as well as familiarity with cloud based data repositories.
  • Broad knowledge of instructional cloud based applications, on-line services, technology resources and integration of technology across the curriculum
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively under demanding time constraints.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, staff, and students.
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.
  • REPORTS TO: Director of Technology SUPERVISES: Registration Department JOB GOAL: Under the general supervision of the Director of Technology, supports the data systems of the district. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the facilitation and support of the following systems:
  • Student Information System
  • District Accounting System
  • District Human Resources System
  • Food Services System
  • Various other student data systems
  • Responsible for facilitation and support with data integration and report management for third-party systems such as a data warehouse, online assessments, or educational cloud services.
  • Facilitates the gathering and submission of data for NJ State, Federal, and other reporting related to student and SMID data.
  • Assist in compiling information for preparing various projects at the request of the Director of Technology.
  • Ensures the Registrar's Office is adhering to current legal requirements and best practices for district registration.
  • Assists Registrar's Office with utilizing the district SIS system in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Provide positive customer service while working with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Follow all district approved workflows, field procedures and protocols.
  • Cooperates professionally with all staff members and works closely with assigned team members to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Cooperate and communicate with the Department of Technology team to share related information across the organization as needed.
  • Demonstrating the ability to be flexible and responsive to a wide range of assigned tasks and reacts in a positive fashion to unanticipated redirections.
  • Be able to travel between school facilities as needed.
  • Assists in making recommendations regarding the purchase of new computers, software, and related equipment.
  • Participates in staff-development programs, assists with instruction of staff in the use of hardware and operating systems as well as productivity applications and curriculum-specific software.
  • Participates in in-service and mandated training activities as assigned.
  • Performing all duties as assigned by the Superintendent and Director of Technology, or designee.
  • Performs other duties within the scope of employment and certification as may be assigned.
