Job Summary: The Data Coordinator's primary role is to support a project with a robust evaluation plan that will train caseworkers in seven Offices for the Aging (OFAs) in Central New York on the use of an evidence based tool that screens for early signs of cognitive impairment among older adults. Clients with scores suggesting the presence of cognitive impairment will be referred to SUNY Upstate's Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's Disease (CEAD) for a comprehensive evaluation as indicated. The project is co-funded by grants from the New York State Health Foundation and Health Foundation of Western and Central New York. The Data Coordinator position will be for approximately two years beginning late summer 2024 and will support the coordination and input of data collected by participating OFAs. Data will include, but not be limited to, the number of clients offered screening over a 12 month period, the number who agree to be screened, and the number with scores suggesting cognitive impairment who agree to a comprehensive evaluation at the CEAD and their diagnoses. The Data Coordinator will also help ensure the accuracy of data collection and transfer from the OFAs to the project team. This position reports to the projects Principal Investigator, Sharon Brangman, MD, with support and supervision by Maria Brown, PhD of Syracuse University who is leading the evaluation plan and Kelly Wheeler, who is assisting in data management and research management Research Manager in the Department of Geriatrics. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field and one year of related experiance oran equivalent combination of education and experience.
