Reporting to the Data Finance Head, the Finance Data Demand and Provisioning Head is responsible for ensuring effective practices and standards are in place for all Finance data's demand needs. This leader will be responsible for sourcing, transforming, and delivering data from various sources to meet the requirements of the finance data users and the systems. This role will champion the data provisioning processes for Citi by enhancing the efficiency and productivity of data delivery by making data accessible in a structured and secure manner. Work with technology partners to help maintain data sprawl and contain costs. The lead in this role will also work to address governance and integration processes working with the central data governance organization and finance and upstream data providers to centralize the needs for finance data and their stakeholders.
Responsibilities: - Develop the logistics and supply change of data by analysing available data product and services. Coordinating logistics and ensuring timely delivery of company data needs, developing relationships with upstream data providers and technology implementation teams
- Facilitates the data sharing among the stakeholders across the organization. Promotes collaboration and efficient data utilization
- Timely data deliver data is delivered in a timely and efficient manner ensuring consumers have access to standard data sources and use the standard sources across their products
- Provide leadership to ensure all solutions are developed in a front to back manner and that there is oversight on how to move towards a more data focused business model. Work with the stakeholders who provide data and the consumers who receive data ensuring that the data need is well understood and prioritized ensuring a collaborative and connected data environment
- Work with key business and technology and operations stakeholders to eliminate data demand delivery and execution obstacles to ensure change throughput is optimized
Qualifications: - 15+ years of relevant experience in Banking or Finance preferred, including 10+ years' managerial experience
- Has established a broad and deep knowledge of financial data, a comprehension of regulatory, compliance, risk management and financial management concerns
- Strong ability to perform extensive strategic leadership in delivering business value through vision, governance, and executive management
- Strategic mindset, who can see ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies
- Manages through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
- Communicates effectively; develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
- Experience leading an organization through significant change covering strategy, operations, process, structure, culture, and behaviour, ranging from operational change management to business-wide transformation
- Able to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders
- Exceptional leadership skills to build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and teamwork across the organization
- Working knowledge of Citi's Data Operating Model
- Extensive experience in data demand and provisioning process ability to build new function in a large complex organization
- Extensive leadership experience demonstrated through empowerment, situational awareness, increasing transparency and conflict resolution on a large-scale programs and data transformation.
- Extensive experience in data management systems and data tools that ensure data sourcing is done in the most efficient manner.
- Proven experience in the ability to diagnose and resolve data related issues.
- Demonstrated ability leading the development of data program related analytics, models, dashboards, etc. to make data-driven decisions on digital program investments.
- Deep subject matter expertise in financial services /asset services and finance a plus
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; Previous experience interacting and working with Executive Leaders
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and an ability to identify conflicts, discrepancies and other issues and bring together the right team to solution them
- Customer service and experience providing service to your stakeholders and assuring their satisfaction with the outcomes and their solutions
- Exceptional matrix management and influencing skills requiring strong collaboration with a collegial style
- Demonstrated leadership and management abilities with a strong focus on driving the data transformation of data demand processes to new levels.
