Reports to Manager or Director of BERDI or Data Architecture & Engineering. Mentoring and specific project work may be directed by other members of BERDI or Data Architecture & Engineering and may change or rotate. Will develop and work towards position of Data Engineer I, passing through this and two additional levels of apprenticeship. Will develop and document databases, propose changes to improve data architecture, and independently monitor and troubleshoot. Will have a period of up to 1 year to meet training, certification, and deliverable benchmarks and ascend to Apprentice level 2. Responsibilities:Consult and collaborate throughout all areas within Lifespan that relate to data infrastructure and analytics. Design, build and troubleshoot data ETL (Extract, Transfer Load) processes. Collaborate with clinical and operational staff to understand health system needs and devise possible solutions.
