Robert Half Technology has currently partnered with national media and advertising company to help them identify a Data Engineer experienced in GCP, Looker, Python and SQL on a full time basis. As a Data Engineer, you will be involved in the development, construction, and maintenance of highly scalable data management systems. You will work in a GCP ecosystem to enable better, faster and meaningful analysis of large data sets, develop data pipeline, databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that improve overall data efficiency, quality, and visualization. This position is being offered as full time, full benefits in a hybrid capacity with 3 days onsite in the Los Angeles area and 2 day remote.
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate should have a firm grasp of GCP or AWS, Python, Looker, and SQL, and possess the ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of a wide array of data systems.
- Managing data pipelines, designing data pipelines, automating data pipelines, ETL, analyzing mass data sets.
- In GCP environment, design, develop, and deploy data solutions leveraging GCP.
- Data processing and analysis tasks using Python and work on building robust data frameworks.
- Experience developing data visualization with Looker or Tableau.
You'll Need to Have:
- Strong knowledge and experience with GCP or AWS is essential for creating, managing, and optimizing database systems.
- Leverage Python programming to generate packaging systems.
- Strong experience with an ETL tool.
- In-depth understanding and experience with SQL to interact with the database, clean and structure data, and provide access to the necessary data for other team members - crucially data analysts and data scientists.
- Experience with NoSQL databases.
- B.S. Computer Science/Engineering/Technology or Statistics/Mathematics is preferred
- 3+ years of experience developing in SQL and leading ETL tools.
- 2+ years of experience with data profiling and data pipeline development.
