So is Azure! - In Azure, it would be the data related services like Azure Data actory, azure Data bricks and also Azure databases Kafka - not so much Must sit in MN or CA - relocation is OK Will be working with the OMMS product in Optum State Government Different products in OMMS Get data in, understand the system, understand the requirements, people who will supply the data will ask them a lot of questions Looks through Code and figure it out and help with the data load Assistant analyst and Data Engineer in 1 No front end needed - Angular will be nice to have Some products that will require loading with talend, some with mulesoft, Product itself, look at the code and figure out what is needed and how to talk to the analysts to tell them what is needed. Senior Data Engineer Work location (specify UHG/UHC/Optum location or remote/telecommute) In person Minneapolis, MN or Irvine, CA Optum Office Work hours (ex. 9am-5pm day/night shifts rotating shifts etc)? 9am - 5pm CT with some rotating shifts Please provide a summary of the project/initiative that this candidate will be working on? Will be working on Optum Govt Services initiatives in the Provider Enrollment, Verification and Data Management area. Please describe the team the candidate will be working with - how many members?The team consists of 20+ engineers and a larger product, business and PMO organization Responsibilities: • Analyze requirements and implement software solutions using Java 8 or higher, Angular 11 and Oracle/Mongo or higher • Analyze existing software functionality and code to identify cause of bugs and design solutions • Create and maintain technical artifacts such as data model and technical design specifications • Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing • Design and develop reusable components, frameworks and libraries • Work with Product owners, business analysts, architects, developers and other stakeholders to groom & solution features • Review code and approve code merges, providing technical guidance & best practices • Leads small projects, mentor, train other team members and facilitate onboarding and ongoing training • Provide input to forecasting and planning activities. Required: • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field • Overall 5+ years with of experience with Object Oriented Design and Development with progressive responsibilities • 5+ years hands-on Java, Angular, Microservices and Design patterns • 3+ years experience with Oracle/MongoDB and ability to write and tune advanced SQL queries • 3+ years experience with Mulesoft Anypoint or Talend Data Integration • 2+ years writing unit or integration tests using Junit, etc. • 2+ year of Experience working with Agile Methodology and Experience with agile management tools such as Rally or JIRA • Working knowledge of Git, Jenkins and containerization • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals: unit testing, code reviews, agile and DevOps.
