This role requires a skilled Engineer with expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining Snowflake data warehouse environments. You will be responsible for developing robust data models, creating efficient ETL processes, and optimizing performance to support the organization's data needs.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement data models within Snowflake to support business requirements.Develop and maintain ETL processes to ingest data from various sources into Snowflake.Optimize and tune Snowflake performance to ensure fast query execution and efficient resource utilization.Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide solutions for data access and analysis.Implement data security and governance best practices within Snowflake.Monitor and troubleshoot issues with the Snowflake environment, including performance bottlenecks and data loading failures.Document data warehouse design, ETL processes, and other relevant documentation.Stay up-to-date with Snowflake best practices and new features, and make recommendations for their adoption.Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.Proven experience working with Snowflake, including designing data models and implementing ETL processes.Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).Experience with data integration tools such as Informatica, Talend, or Apache NiFi.Knowledge of data modeling and analytical concepts and best practices.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code deployment processes.A self-motivated, results-oriented attitude that can thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team.Preferred QualificationsSnowflake certification(s) (e.g., SnowPro Core Certification).Experience with other data warehousing technologies such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse Analytics.Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.Experience working with financial data sets or accounting.Where We're Looking For ItLatham, New York, United States100% Remote for the right candidate#J-18808-Ljbffr
