Datawiz is actively hiring for a Data Engineer who is a Mid-level expertise in Powerbuilder. In this position you will be leading multiple projects to develop, implement, support, and maintain application systems using PowerBuilder with Java and Oracle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical advisor on enhancement projects.
• Assist business and project leaders in determining solution options, from modifying existing applications to designing new application features and services.
• Write SQL scripts to manipulate data.
• Develop and maintain database stored procedures and triggers.
• Provide hands-on support for systems in production, focusing on support and maintenance.
• Analyze requirements and formulate design solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Mid-level experience, with at least five (5) years of experience in databases and Java development.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL language, PowerBuilder, RDBMS, and expertise with either MS SQL Server or Oracle.
• Proficiency in Java development.
• Experience deploying J2EE applications.
• Excellent communication skills.

Special Software Tools or Certificates Required

• Must be knowledgeable in PowerBuilder

Preferred Qualifications

• PowerBuilder expertise

Degree Needed (if any) or Additional Skills in Lieu of Degree

• Relevant Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering

Security Clearance Needed:

• Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance

Physical Requirements/Essential Functions

• Must be able to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. 
• Capability to work on a computer for the majority of the workday.
