The OB BI team in P&E focuses on defining the strategic direction for Metrics and Key Performance Indicators to enable the successful implementation of our services with the end-customer. The team is responsible to look across all the products/services across OB and drive Quality and Performance by democratizing access to Data and Analytics.The candidate for this position will focus on supporting large account and prospect customer by leveraging data analytics to enable data-driven sales and decision making across all OB products, services, and processes.Role:We are looking for team members who:- Analyze large volumes of transaction and product data to generate insights and actionable recommendations to drive business growth.- Support Sales Team in their efforts to scale the Sales effort by identifying data-driven opportunities and developing relevant supporting materials.- Collect and synthesize feedback from clients, development, product and sales teams for new solutions or product enhancements.- Apply knowledge of metrics, measurements, and benchmarking to complex and demanding solutions.- Data mining, model development, time series analysis, forecasting.- Create highly predictive models using segmentation and regression techniques to drive profits.- Knowledge of metrics, measurements, and benchmarking to complex and demanding solutions across multiple industry verticals.- Review analytics end-products to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness.- Synthesize analyses into clear, sound recommendations; takes responsibility for structuring and writing reports and client ready presentations.- Standardization of data-driven insights and advanced analytics solutions using tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, and MS Office suite.- Develops effective working relationships with global teams and business partners.- Proactively seeks new knowledge and structures project work to facilitate the capture of Intellectual Capital with minimal oversight.All about You:- Experience in Payments/Financial Services Industry.- Experience in hands-on business analysis, modelling, segmentation, and data mining using large volumes of granular data to deliver analytical solutions.- Strong Tableau, Alteryx, Python, MS-Excel, and PowerPoint skills.- Platforms/Environments: Hadoop, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx.- Exposure to collecting and/or working with data including standardizing, summarizing, offering initial observations, and highlighting inconsistencies.- Strong understanding of the application of analytical methods and data visualization to support business decisions.- Ability to understand complex operational systems and analytics/business intelligence tools for the delivery of information products and analytical offerings to a large, global user base.- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment as part of a team and as an individual contributor.- Ability to easily move between business, analytical, and technical teams and articulate solution requirements for each group.- Excellent written and oral communication skills.The Senior Data Engineer will support Mastercard Open Banking products through client data ingestion, processing, and coordination. A Senior Data Engineer will:- Lead relationships with Mastercard Operations and Technology teams to facilitate the transfer of client data.- Act as an expert resource within the team across subjects, including Mastercard's Data Warehouse, PCI compliance, source control, data validation, and testing.- Develop repeatable and scalable code that processes client data in an automated and efficient manner to ensure data availability in the platform is as real-time as possible.- Lead the automation capabilities of the team.- Implement techniques to optimize and routinize repeatable tasks for Test & Learn data setup.- Apply outstanding communication skills, project management skills, and reliability in promptly reacting to incoming requests with an estimated timeline and any needed clarifications, and meeting expressed timelines.- Mentor junior team members in terms of career, skillset, and team contributions.- Set an example for and foster a high-performance collaborative workplace.- Comply with and uphold all Mastercard internal policies and external regulations.Minimum job requirements:- Excellent English communication (oral/written) skills.- Expertise and hands-on experience with RDBMS technologies, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server, the SSIS Stack, and .Net.- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Powershell, Python, Bash, Korn Shell, AWK scripting, C Programing, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL).- Proficiency with Oracle Exadata strongly preferred.- Proven self-motivated leader with experience working in teams spread across several geographies.- Demonstrated excellent skills in the ability to innovate, think critically, and disaggregate problems.- Able to provide oversight, validation, and quality control to own and team work product.- Skilled at balancing multiple projects and differing project priorities.- Flexible to work with global offices across several time zones.Mastercard is an inclusive equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience, and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
