About the job Data Entry Clerk Position Summary: The Data Entry Clerk supports multiple departments by creating, processing, reviewing, and maintaining orders and estimates.Essential Job Responsibilities and Functions:
- Enter new and updated customer and project information
- Enter quotes and orders into the ERP accounting software
- Use resources provided to compile and sort information
- Confirm accuracy of the information in ERP software by returning documents with incomplete information and entering complete information once received
- Identify materials that do not have codes in the system, and request they are added by purchasing or manufacturing
- Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
- Maintain files linked to the transaction
