This position is eligible for hybrid remote work environment; combination of telecommuting and participating in onsite rotating work schedule at offices located in Austin, TX. Hybrid work schedule includes 1 to 2 workdays a week in the office, teleworking the remainder of the workdays. You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas. WHO YOU ARE: Seeking a candidate with strong data entry skills. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving, critical thinking, coaching, and analytical skills. Must have the ability to communicate in a professional, customer-focused manner. Must have the ability to balance the speed of work with the amount of work to be done and maintain appropriate levels of productivity and quality of work while in the office and teleworking. WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Data Entry Clerk (Clerk III) performs highly complex (senior-level) clerical work. Work involves coordinating clerical activities such as compiling and tabulating data, checking documents for accuracy, handling and transporting documents and/or stock and inventory, and maintaining files. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: -Work in a high-speed data environment; accurately keying data from images at a fast pace. -Classify forms, verify document structure and perform quality assurance. -Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of the data entry procedures and functionality of the software and hardware. -Manually process returned overpayment mail with high accuracy. -Manually prepare documents to be scanned. -Use the mainframe, images directory and FileNet for appropriate research and verification of data. -Adhere to established work schedule and maintain regular attendance. Normal work hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday. Combination of telecommuting and participating in onsite rotating work schedule at offices located in Austin, TX. -May train others. -Work involves frequent sitting, ability to lift up to 15 lbs., occasional standing and walking. -Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and agency laws, rules, policies and procedures including IT Handbook and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that govern TWC IT. -Contributes to teamwork and communicates effectively. -Promotes an image of IT excellence. -Perform other duties as assigned to maintain IT operations. YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH: -One year of full-time experience in a high-speed data entry environment or in a role which required thorough knowledge of office procedures, business or program terminology, methods and procedures. -Knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of keying data from image. -Ability to quickly gain thorough knowledge of the data entry procedures and functionality of the software and hardware. -Experience in general administrative support functions are necessary for preparation of documents for scanning and keying. -Skill in the use of standard office equipment and software. -Skill performing tasks with a high degree of accuracy, paying close attention to detail and maintaining confidentiality. -Skill in providing written communication. -Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. -Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. -Ability to communicate effectively. -Ability to work in a team environment under general direction. -Ability to use initiative and independent judgment and meet established deadlines. -Skill in using Word, Outlook, Excel, Captiva software and TWC mainframe and applications are highly desired. YOU QUALIFY WITH: -One year of full-time experience in clerical or customer service work. -Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
