We are seeking a qualified Data Entry Specialist for our client, who will work closely with the Surveillance and Regulatory Compliance units. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and processing license and permit applications, as well as renewals, following the implementation of the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) laws, rules, and regulations.
- Respond to written and verbal inquiries and complaints from applicants, licensed entities, and other stakeholders.
- Answer questions from applicants about the requirements of various licensure programs and assist them in completing their applications.
- Review license applications to ensure completeness and follow up with applicants to correct deficiencies.
- Review applicants' criminal justice history, including coordinating fingerprint submission with the Division of Criminal Justice Services.
- Research databases for cannabis businesses located near applicants.
- Verify that application locations comply with local laws.
- Correct issues and discrepancies in application processing.
- Provide preliminary application recommendations to supervisory staff.
- Collaborate with other program units as needed.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Skills Required:
- Three years of full-time experience in a position where your primary responsibility was providing customer service by explaining programs, policies, and/or procedures, resolving problems, or reconciling accounts.
- Experience in handling sensitive or regulated information, particularly in the context of legal compliance or licensing, is highly desirable.
Education and Credit for Experience:Applicants with degrees or college semester credit hours will be credited with experience as follows:
- 30 semester credit hours = 1 year of experience
- 60 semester credit hours = 2 years of experience
- 90 semester credit hours = 3 years of experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in data entry and working with various software and databases.
- Knowledge of regulatory processes and compliance standards (preferred).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
