- Complete registration functions related to scheduling appointments in the physician practice setting: answering the telephone and directing patients as appropriate, updating patient demographics, employment and insurance information in medical records&other systems, answering questions and addressing other patient concerns.
- Performing insurance verification functions as required to enhance the revenue cycle, including verifying that patient insurance information is accurate and up-to-date, collecting accurate co-payments, and assisting with pre-authorization and ABN processes as defined by the practices and in support of the patient's clinical plan.
- Gather patient medical records and information as needed to ensure smooth&efficient patient appointments with the physician practice provider.
An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of medical office experience along with Medical Terminology
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as a pleasant demeanor and strong customer service skills.
- High integrity, able to follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Self-motivated learner who takes initiative to learn complex processes
