We are searching for a talented Data Entry-Prior Auth Clerk

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: General Surgery - Wareham, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

ResponsibilitiesPosition reports to the Office Manager or designee, perform accurate data entry of coded and abstracted data into the appropriate computerized systems. Scan all records for inclusion in the electronic legal record. Verify patient demographics for accuracy. Verify that scanned images are legible and able to be re-created if necessary. Routinely print verification reports to ensure all records are scanned appropriately. Perform clerical and related activities to include filing and retrieval of records, material and microfiche.Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent plus additional courses or training required, i.e. data entry and medical terminology.
  • Basic knowledge of Internet, Intranet, Word and Excel. Knowledge of various Health Information Services policies and procedures.
  • Three (3) years related experience in retail pharmacy, physician office management, or healthcare billing is required.
  • Registration in good standing as a MA Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Technician Certification are preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Pay RangeUSD $17.05 - USD $28.28 /Hr.
