Data Entry Specialist IJob Summary: As a Data Entry Specialist I, you will be responsible for accurately inputting and updating data into our systems and databases. Responsibilities:Data Entry and Verification: - Input data from source documents into the appropriate databases, spreadsheets, or other electronic formats with precision and accuracy.
- Verify the accuracy of data input by reviewing, comparing, and correcting information as needed to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain strict attention to detail when entering and updating data to minimize errors and discrepancies.
Database Maintenance: - Update and maintain databases by entering new and updated information, ensuring that records are current, complete, and accurate.
- Perform routine data clean-up activities, identifying and correcting errors, duplicates, or inconsistencies in database records.
- Organize and file documents and records in accordance with established procedures for easy retrieval and reference.
Documentation and Reporting: - Generate reports, summaries, and other documents based on input data, following established formatting and presentation guidelines.
- Assist in compiling and organizing data for analysis, reporting, and decision-making purposes, as requested by management or team members.
- Maintain documentation of data entry procedures, standards, and guidelines for reference and training purposes.
Collaboration and Communication: - Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data, resolving discrepancies and issues as they arise.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to clarify data requirements, address inquiries, and provide status updates on data entry tasks.
- Seeks feedback and guidance from supervisors or team leads to improve data entry processes and performance.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree, and/or equivalent related experience; relevant certification preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative role preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and typing skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with database management systems and software applications, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
