May require maintaining computerized records, entry of patient specific information and medical orders and preparing prescriptions under the direction of a pharmacist.Direct supervisor is the Data Entry Supervisor. Works under the direction of licensed pharmacist.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Obtain and maintain PTCB certification or equivalentMonitor Docutrak and obtain current prescriptions to be filled from nursing facilitiesContact nursing facilities to note any concerns and to offer customer supportKeep Docutrak up to date and notify supervisor if concerns should ariseKnowledge of procedures required to provide these services to nursing facilitiesKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and person services including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniquesKnowledge of laws, government regulations and agency rules which applyUnderstanding written work related documents. Using mathematics to problem solveCommunicating with others in a supportive and functional capacityThe ability to read and understand information and ideas presentedMay be required to assist pharmacist to prepare and dispense medicationsMay be required to prepare prescribed medication and/or prepare labels under the direction of the pharmacistKnowledge of office procedures, computer skills, fax, copier etcManagement of E-Kit SystemsBuilding positive relationships with nursing facility staffCritical Functions:Assures smooth and efficient operations processing nursing facility's resident prescriptions. Ability to handle computer tasks of some complexity and variety in an independent and responsible manner. Ability to work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail while following established protocol. Ability to utilize computer and learn required software as designated by company protocol. Must have communication skills to interact with Pegasus SNF and ALF staff.Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:Training and Experience:Minimal 18 years of ageBasic knowledge of data entry and preferred PTCB certificationTN registrationDetail oriented and ability to maintain accuracyAbility to maintain confidentiality related to facility and residents medical informationKey Competencies:Ability to communicate pharmaceutical information and demonstrate professional behavior while adhering to HIPPA regulations regarding confidentialityPerform data entry duties with an eye for detail and accuracyMaintain accurate records; communicate through reports or verbal dialogue to supervisor areas of concernUtilize office technology including computer, software program, copier, etcDisplay professional and appropriate appearance and behavior at all times p.
