Start your Voyage - Apply Now Get to know the Opportunity: The Data Governance Senior Analyst reports to the Director of Investment Management Data Governance and is responsible for overseeing the coordination of data governance requirements with the Enterprise Data Management team. This may include implementing the Data Stewardship Operating Model and Data Quality. The Data Governance Senior Analyst's role will be responsible for information governance and data life cycle management, along with the exploitation of data assets to create business value. The Contributions You'll Make
  • Assist the team in realizing Voya's vision of data managed as an asset; this role will be a key contributor of the Data Governance team.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to Data Governance policy.
  • Assist with standing up the data stewardship model across the enterprise and will assist with training and support.
  • Actively promote the importance of data governance and data quality within the organization, building understanding and commitment by all employees that clean, governed data is a shared responsibility.
  • Help manage the contribution of data stewards by building and compiling a business glossary and metadata repository leveraging Data Governance software suite (i.e. Collibra) with a focus on increasing efficiency by making it easier to access data meaning and context.
  • Oversee the definition, enhancement and compliance of data quality standards and business rules using the Data Governance software suite (Collibra) and related tools.
  • Lead the hands-on implementation of a central process to capture, prioritize and manage data quality issues across the firm including familiarity with data profiling, rule-making, workflows and remediation efforts.
  • Work in collaboration with stakeholders across functions to develop policies and procedures which enforce repeatable and reliable processes, thus reducing variability, increasing efficiency and enhancing overall data quality and compliance.
  • Assist in managing data governance related initiatives from inception to completion and maintenance, including collecting business requirements and translating into Data Solutions Specifications.
  • Assist the Data Governance team in the identification of Critical Data Elements (CDEs), where relevant.
  • Participate in change management activities required to fix data quality and process issues.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial services with an understanding of IT, Operations and Data Governance.
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties.
  • Able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions.
  • Ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs.
  • Track record relative to role in building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Demonstrated history of working with functional groups and different level of employees throughout the organization to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Experience relative to role in educating and influencing program stakeholders regarding program goals, objectives and approach.
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience implementing data governance platforms such as Collibra and any data quality tool that profiles and cleans data.
  • Strong office and software technical skills, including Excel, Visio, PowerPoint systems and Data Governance tools such as Collibra.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. $107,960 - $144,220 Be Well. Stay Well.
