Job Description:
DescriptionWe are inviting applications for the role of a Data Governance Analyst in the automotive industry. This position is located in Houston, Texas and involves the development and execution of a comprehensive Data Governance strategy across the organization. The role requires collaboration with business executives, data owners, and stewards to drive data maturity and excellence throughout the organization. Responsibilities: • Define and implement a robust Data Governance strategy that aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.• Lead initiatives related to Master Data Management, Data Security, Data Quality, Data Retention, and Data Definitions and Cataloging.• Establish and promote best practices for data management and governance, ensuring consistency and quality across all data assets.• Build and support a strong community of Data Owners and Data Stewards, providing guidance and support to enhance data stewardship capabilities.• Partner with business executives to identify, measure, and remediate data quality issues, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and actionable.• Work with business stewards to document and define data metrics, quality thresholds, and performance indicators to monitor and improve data quality.• Coordinate with IT security, compliance, and risk teams to ensure data policies meet regulatory requirements and organizational standards. • Leverage skills in Data Governance, Data Management, Data retention, Data Quality, and OneTrust.Requirements• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a Data Governance role within the Automotive industry.• Proven expertise in Data Management, including developing and implementing data strategies and policies.• Demonstrable experience in Data Retention, including creating and enforcing data retention policies.• A strong understanding of Data Quality principles and the ability to implement them effectively.• Experience working with OneTrust software for privacy, security, and data governance.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders.• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.• Demonstrable project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards related to data governance.Job typePerm
