OPEN JOB: (HYBRID) Data Loss Prevention Engineer ***Hybrid schedule, Fridays remote and another day of choice LOCATION: Montvale, New Jersey ***Relocation Assistance Available SALARY: $100,000 to $130,000 INDUSTRY: Manufacturing & Production IDEAL CANDIDATE - DLP, data loss prevention, software such as Microsoft PERVIEW and VARONIS, security of data and data loss prevention, 4 plus years of experience, cybersecurity degree is a plus.
POSITION SUMMARY: - The Data Security Engineer is primarily responsible for managing, monitoring and implementing data security software across the enterprise.
- The position will be the primary contact for ensuring data integrity and security.
- Working in collaboration with other departments to form a data classification system.
- This individual will also work closely with IT Infrastructure, Operations and Security teams to ensure data software and standards are up to par with Security standards.
- The incumbent will need to work with both internal and external resources to test the safety and security of the enterprise data including penetration testing and auditing.
- The incumbent may need to provide emergency support and assistance when new and emerging threats become known.
- Participation in project teams, assessing needs, requirements, examining benefits and recommending IT related solutions is an essential requirement of the position.
- This position has frequent contact with all aspects of the Information Technology Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Recommend & assist in the implementation of data hardening technologies
- Managing numerous DLP platforms including, Microsoft Azure DLP, Varonis, Etc ...
- Manage user data access permissions and data access requests
- Manage numerous platforms surrounding data security and integrity
- Develop, design and improve IT data security policies, procedures & processes across the enterprise
- Collaborate with other departments to identify sensitive data, and apply proper security
- Implementation of major system changes and integrations following the corporate change management policies
- Perform security access audits and develop/implement remediation plans
- Serve as liaison between staff and the technology department to resolve data security related issues
- Maintain and improve on the security access rights within file systems
- Review daily released Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures and assess against internal systems
REQUIREMENTS: - 4+ years of prior relevant experience
- BS Degree within a Cyber Security related degree
- Extensive understanding of data classification and management
- Experience with Azure DLP (E5) platforms
- Preferable: Experience with Microsoft PERVIEW and VARONIS
- Fundamental knowledge of SIEM platforms
- Forensic Cyber Security knowledge is preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems (Windows 11, Server 2019 / 2022)
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and abilities - particularly in the fashion of working with other department members on solutions.
- Skills at organizing resources and establishing priorities
