What You Will Do
- Exercise a deep background in federal agency data management to oversee design and delivery of all planning materials and documentation that support the client's migration into a centralized data repository.
- Drive internal and external vendor processes for defining, preparing, and moving data to support the client's complete data modernization.
- Manage team and collaborate with external vendors to determine and apply data governance best practices to client data assets to support modernization efforts.
- Work closely with implementation vendor to perform validations, QA, and generally support data migration efforts.
- Autonomously lead data-centric workstream and manage implementation vendor delivery efforts core to the modernization of client data management.
- Own discovery of client systems and data processes and translate into guidance for data governance policies.
- Write functional and technical requirements for new data management workflows.
- Establish data standards to ensure consistency and quality in client data sets.
- Directly support product decision making by defining and applying a customer engagement strategy for new client data products.
- Interface with client leadership and lead meetings with stakeholders and support their data-centric needs to realize key goals of their digital transformation.
- Exercise a background in data management compliance for federal agencies.
- Work hand-in-hand with and provide complete support for client IT resources to execute data management best practices.
- Work within cross-functional program teams to identify appropriate business solutions to client challenges.
- Collaborate with PMO team to understand evolving agency modernization needs and develop possible solutions.
- Independently isolate problems and define solutions in a dynamic client support environment.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, and ability to guide a team under this delivery model.
- Strong communication skills: ability to be well-organized, clear and concise in conversations and written communications.
- Experience in delivering quality work on time with multiple, competing priorities.
- Assist business development activities, such as proposals, capture, whitepapers, and/or other thought leadership materials.
- Assist in the development and mentorship of your team, and advance their own understanding of data governance.
- Generate clear, actionable documentation that enables self-guided execution.
- Maintain good working relationships with client stakeholders and staff to facilitate engagement services.
What You Will Need
- Excellent problem-solving, communications and presentation skills.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to work with technical teams and business users.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a project team.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of professional work experience.
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Exercise an educational background in data-centric fields such as analytics, data management, systems analysis, data processing and operations. Masters preferred.
- Experience with AWS Cloud or other cloud platforms.
The annual salary range for this position is $98,400.00-$196,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
