A Fortune 100 client's program focused on Digital Analytic Solutions for aviation is currently looking for a Data Modeler to join the team. This position will focus on supporting the Defense Services division's digital and analytics solutions for government and military business. The program oversees the strategy, processes, people, investments, and the development of a broad portfolio of digital and analytic tools sitting on common cloud-based platforms. These tools provide customers with a variety of capabilities to help them optimize their programs and maximize their mission success.Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: o The development of the conceptual, logical, and physical data models, the implementation of RDBMS, operational data store (ODS), data marts, and data lakes on target platforms (SQL/NoSQL). o Oversee and govern the expansion of existing data architecture and the optimization of data query performance via best practices. o Design, build, and optimize systems for data collection, storage, access, and analytics at scale o Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements at a high level and be able to translate those requirements into modeling We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Previous data modeling experience within the Aerospace, Government / Military or Supply Chain / Manufacturing industry o Prior understanding of the military space - specifically performing Government ITAR-related modeling work o Prior experience working with data in the business, manufacturing, inventory management, or engineering domains Prior hands-on experience with Informatica, AWS RedShift, Amazon RDS, etc. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field 10+ years of experience working in data modeling o Proficiency in designing conceptual, logical and physical data models to represent data structures accurately o Prior experience driving source systems, generating models and supporting the business as a whole from a data perspective Previous experience building within AWS Cloud services, specifically AWS Glue o This includes working with large scale databases, including data bricks, data marts and building out data lakes Proficient with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL Proficient with data modeling tools such as erwin Data Modeler, ER/Studio or IBM Data Architect Hands-on experience working with a data warehouse system / database engine such as Amazon Neptune, Apache Hive or AWS S3
