Job Description:
The Data Order Entry Technician assists the pharmacists with all operational oversight and patient related duties within the pharmacy. Essential Job Duties:
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively and positively with the pharmacy staff, all other Pentec departments, physicians and their office staff, patients, nurses, and other clinical personnel.
  • Faxes and tracks receipt of new and refill prescriptions from physician offices or dialysis units. Follows up with calls when necessary to obtain prescriptions. Responsible for processing prescription refills which includes printing labels, compound records, delivery tickets and related scheduling documentation. Communicates with pharmacists and other departments about prescription issues and changes in patient needs
  • Assists in scheduling patient's deliveries, medical recordkeeping which includes but is not limited to, scanning prescriptions, compound records, progress note documentation, and other clerical duties.
  • Ensure compliance with Pentec Health, Inc. policies, including Joint Commission and OSHA guidelines, and participate in process improvement initiatives and team meetings
*Other job duties and special projects as assigned. Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Prior experience with pharmacy computer systems/software or medical record keeping preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, ability to work in teams, attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills, and dependable in attendance and job performance.

Salary Range: $19 an hour Pentec Health offers a comprehensive compensation and full benefits package.
