I am looking for a candidate with experience as Data Protection/Security Consultant/Officer. Job Role: Data Protection/Security Consultant/OfficerLocation: San Antonio, TXDuration: 6-12+ Months(possible extension) Must be on our W2 Key Responsibilities:Data Protection StrategyDevelop and implement a comprehensive data protection strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate data protection risks.Stay up-to-date with evolving data protection laws and regulations.Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and local data privacy laws.Conduct regular audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.Develop and implement data protection policies, procedures, and standards.Handle data subject requests, such as access, rectification, erasure, and data portability.Respond to data breaches and security incidents.Cooperate with data protection authorities.Data Protection Impact AssessmentsDevelop and deliver data protection training programs for employees.Develop and implement a data breach response plan. Required Qualifications:Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and local data privacy laws.Proven experience as a Data Protection Officer or in a similar role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
