Job Overview The Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of banking-related data, investigating authoritative sourcing of data, conducting data analysis to support risk assessments, and implementing data control measures to safeguard critical data assets. Job Description Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with data owners and IT teams to establish data quality standards and metrics.
- Work with business stakeholders to define data quality requirements and conduct data quality assessments.
- Develop and manage data quality controls to ensure the completeness, validity and consistency of data and identify trends and risk factors that may impact stakeholders and the organization.
- Build data transformation and cleansing routines to standardize data and eliminate errors.
- Perform data enrichment and cleanup based on business rules and logic.
- Maintain documentation of data quality issues and corrective actions taken.
- Participate in audits of data control processes as needed, to identify and rectify data discrepancies or anomalies.
- Develop and maintain data quality dashboards, reporting and metrics to provide insights to stakeholders and identify / correct data discrepancies or anomalies.
- Oversee remediation of Data Controls, including participating in root cause analyses, review challenge of prioritization, criticality, and remedial actions.
RequirementsRequired Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Python.
- Exposure to data analytics tools (e.g. MS Azure, Databricks, Snowflake) and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated passion for stakeholder engagement and support.
- Strong organizational/project management skills, attention to detail, interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Data Science, Statistics, Risk Management, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data quality management, data governance, or data audit.
- Experience with Banking products, frameworks, and practices.
- Proven experience in implementing data controls and governance frameworks.
- Strong data management skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and a deep understanding of data management practices.
