Expected Duration: 12 Months Job Type: 40 hours work week Pay Rate: $65/hr to $70/hrPosition Summary The Data Governance, Data Quality Specialist, and Data Steward is responsible for ensuring that the Climate Risk Platforms data assets are managed, governed, and maintained to the highest standards. This role combines three key functions: data governance to define and manage data policies, data quality to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data, and data stewardship to oversee the day-to-day management of data assets. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the companys overall data strategy, ensuring compliance, and maximizing the value of data across the organization. Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity and security. Define data ownership and accountability, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clearly documented. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance principles are integrated into business processes and technology solutions. Monitor compliance with data governance policies and escalate issues as necessary. Facilitate the Data Governance Council/Committee to drive data-related decision-making and policy development. Data Quality: Design and implement data quality standards, processes, and controls to ensure high-quality data across the organization. Develop data quality metrics, KPIs, and reports to monitor and track data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Conduct regular data quality audits and assessments to identify data issues and recommend corrective actions. Work closely with data owners and users to resolve data quality issues and improve data quality processes. Support data profiling, validation, and cleansing activities to maintain data health. Bachelors degree in information systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or related roles. Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management principles, and data stewardship best practices. Proficiency in data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Atlan) and data quality tools (e.g., Collibra, Talend, Informatica Data Quality). Knowledge of Climate and Environment Risk Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and data classification. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and integrity. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence decision-making. Certifications in data governance, data quality, or data management are a plus. Key Competencies: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments. Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to solving data issues. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
