As a data scientist, your role will entail uncovering insights from alternative data sources to assist researchers in finding alphas within their markets. Those familiar with the space will understand the complexity and importance of this given the increasing abundance of alternative data sources - weather that be weather, textual, credit card etc., amid an ever increasingly competitive market landscape.

Role

• Iterate on novel and complex datasets to derive insight
• Perform statistical analysis on large data sets
• Communicate insights to individuals and teams within a trading environment

Requirements

• Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field
• Demonstrated empirical skill; comfortable handling extremely large datasets
• Experience with programming & scripting languages (Python preferred)
• Strong stakeholder communication
