Location: Washington,DC, USA
Our client is seeking a qualified Data Scientist to join their team for a full time, direct hire position in Washington, DC (hybrid).

Role:
•Build and test machine learning models to support the platform.
•Maintain and contribute to existing Data Science codebases.
•Work with the software engineering team to deploy models to the platform that provide ongoing forecasts, optimizations, recommendations, and insights.
•Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
•Identify and investigate data issues.
•Review diagnostic and performance reports to locate and correct problems and optimize algorithms.
•Participate in research reviews and discussions.
Qualifications:
•BS or MS degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, etc.
•Experience in machine learning, statistics, optimization, regression / time series modeling, deep learning, generative AI, causal inference, experimentation.
•1-3 years of experience with a scripting language (Python preferred).
•Knowledge of statistical analysis packages (e.g., scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Statsmodels, matplotlib, and PyTorch).
•Proficiency with relational database concepts, SQL, and a working knowledge of ETL processes.
•Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
•Experience with version control systems.
•Knowledge of reporting packages (such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects) is preferred.
