DASSAULT SYSTEMES is looking for a motivated SR. Legal Counsel - Data & Security to join our Legal team in our Waltham, MA office, in an onsite/hybrid role.

As a member of our North American legal team, you will be part of the Data & Security' team handling legal matters related to data security, privacy and cybersecurity for DASSAULT SYSTEMES' companies located in the Americas.

You will work in close collaboration with the team and interact with local lawyers and other operational stakeholders to contribute to the implementation of procedures or policies related to data protection and cybersecurity within the DASSAULT SYSTEMES group, as well as the creation or update of contractual models in these areas. You will also participate in the management of the DASSAULT SYSTEMES group's data protection program.

* In this role you will contribute to research and legal monitoring in the fields of personal and non-personal data protection, digital law, cybersecurity, and information system security

* You will support sales organization with contract negotiation

* You will contribute in awareness and training actions as well as in the creation or evolution of contract models and contractual policy in the field of cybersecurity and data law

Qualifications

* Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school with a preference for an emphasis in Security and Business L

* Admission to Massachusetts, California or other state bar in the U.S.

* Hybrid work at DS local office

* Consistently demonstrates the highest level of integrity without compromise with regards to ethical standards

* 6+ years of legal experience at either a law firm or in-house, or both focused on Privacy & Cybersecurity Legal Matters

* Significant experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, particularly with large, domestic and international customers

* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while also managing critical deadlines

* Flexible, able to quickly adjust to evolving internal and external customer requirements, including deadlines

* Highly organized with critical attention to details

* Ability to build relationships with internal clients and Legal Department along with the ability to work independently and/or within a collaborative team structure

* Positive, self-motivated individual with high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments

* Strong functional use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint

* Strong communication skills in two parts: 1.) very strong writing skills utilizing the rules of English grammar; 2.) verbally clear, concise, and grammatically correct oral (speaking) communication skills in English

Compensation for this role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $165,000 - $195,000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
