Title: Data Support SpecialistLocation: Middle SchoolReports to: Director of Facilities and TechnologyJob Type: Full-time/Year-Round/SalaryMinimum Qualifications:Education:Associate degree with 3-5 years of student information systems experience and increasing responsibility working with data systems requiredExtensive technical experience related to the area of assignment may be considered as a substitute for the degree requirementWork Experience:Knowledge of data systems and best practices, relational database management, including ancillary utilities and multiple operating systemsKnowledge of PowerSchool SISJob Summary:Fulfills duties to ensure the integrity of student data, data systems, and data accessibility to support school improvement, program evaluation, teacher effectiveness, and state reporting. This position will support a large functional area such as Student Information System administration (which includes modules for: registration, grades, transcripts, course management, class schedule development, enrollment, reporting, assessment systems, and other modules that comprise substantial breadth). Maintains a high standard of customer service and responsiveness to staff computer needs.Essential Job Functions:Demonstrates excellent customer-focused attitude and service skillsServes as a team player for technical support staff and service functionsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing on a one-to-one basis and with groups at all levels of the organization. Able to listen and draw out necessary informationManages application software, application infrastructure, and third-party application environments in the assigned field. Tests, maintains, and monitors system processes using in-house and third-party tools. Work must be coordinated with other entities to ensure integration between systemsPerforms problem analysis to resolve system or application issues. Performs complex diagnosis of problems, providing solutions within area of responsibility, and/or through consulting with Technology Department team members, coordinates implementation of fixes and enhancements. Provides backup for other analysts as required. Responds to critical issues during off hours when necessaryAssists in the import of state and local assessment data into data warehouse solutions and PowerSchool student information systemServes as District's State Testing CoordinatorPerforms Pupil Accounting and Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC)Responsible for Teacher Student Data Link (TSDL) and Graduation Dropout (GAD)Creates and maintains system documentationCoordinates work with server, database, network administrators, IT Supervisor, and HelpdeskStays current with technological developments in software development, systems, and application support, as well as management and user-support practicesAbility to work independently and as a member of a team to accomplish work goals and objectives. Able to plan, prioritize, and coordinate complex multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrates principles of continuous learningMain point of contact for education technology software support including Clever, Amplify Science, Delta Math, McGraw Hill, Renaissance Place, etc.Ability to work with confidential dataIntroduces, publicizes, and encourages the use of available learning resources and technologies through publications, newsletters, electronic presentations, and in-person trainingsPlans and facilitates workshops on relevant and meaningful topics in media and technology resources including but not limited to online learning, video conferencing, streaming video, digital media, and handheld technologyCommunicate appropriately and effectively with Director of Facilities and Technology, co-workers, district staff, and publicPerforms other related duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities and TechnologySalary/Benefits: $50,000-$60,000; commensurate with education and experience15 Vacation Days10 Holidays12 Sick Days2 Personal Business DaysSingle, Two-Person, or Full-Family Health/Dental/Vision Insurance or Cash In-Lieu of InsuranceDays/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per dayStart Date: July 1, 2024 - appropriate training to be scheduled and held before this date with the successful candidateHow to Apply: APPLY HERE#J-18808-Ljbffr
