Data Systems AdministratorLocation: Bronx, NYSeton Education Partners seeks a mission-driven, adaptive individual to be the founding Data Systems Administrator for the Brilla Schools Network. The Data Systems Administrator is an entry-level role crucial for managing and maintaining the data systems across our organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is willing to work across various organizational functions, ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of data systems.About the job of Data Systems AdministratorReporting to the Senior Director of Data and Data Strategy, the Data Systems Administrator will be at the forefront of managing our Student Information System (SIS) and supporting campus operations teams. This position is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and validity of data across disparate systems. The Data Systems Administrator will play a key role in integrating and harmonizing data from various sources, maintaining system integrity, and providing reliable data support to facilitate effective decision-making and operations at the campus level.Main Responsibilities System Administration: Manage system configuration, user access, and data integrity across various systems including PowerSchool SIS, Google Workspace, and others.Data Handling: Oversee the process of data extraction and importation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data policies. Develop custom reports/extracts as needed.System Maintenance: Handle system maintenance/upgrades, customizations, backups, and restores, maintaining system health and efficiency.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across different departments to understand and meet their data system needs.User Support: Provide training and support to system users, ensuring they can effectively utilize the systems. Develop online resources and knowledge base for user community.Continuous Learning: Stay updated with system upgrades, new features, and best practices in data management.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Desired Characteristics: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Strong understanding of data systems and databases.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong communication skills to interact effectively with various teams.Experience with PowerSchool suite of products preferred.Experience with Google Workspace administration preferred.Experience with Python preferred.Experience with Tableau preferred.Experience in creating documentation and PD resources for organization.Demonstrated history of learning new technologies either independently or through external PD resources.
