GDIT plays a leading role in modernizing data warehouse infrastructure for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. We provide architecture, implementation and operations support for large scale data migration and integration of on premise and cloud IT systems.

GDIT is seeking a **Data Warehouse Engineer** to support development and maintenance of data transformation pipelines and interfaces for a large scale cloud data warehouse system.

**In this role, a typical day will include:**

* Develops and applies moderately advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems for high-volume data processing and analysis.

* Develops clear documentation, diagrams, presentations, and code.

* Exercise independent judgement and collaborates with other team members to evaluate solution alternatives that satisfy business requirements.

* Using advanced knowledge, develops prototypes and solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; applying standards; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; and investigating problem areas.

* Applies practical knowledge gained through advanced education and prior work experience; continuously develops relevant expertise and skills; and may provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced team members.

* May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

* BA/BS in Computer Science or similar technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

* 8+ years of experience supporting complex, high-volume data processing systems.

* Prior experience supporting the federal government or large commercial enterprise.

* Prior experience developing, integrating, maintaining, monitoring, and performance tuning of ETL, data pipeline, API, data extract, and ad hoc queries.

* Working knowledge of multiple relational data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata, Oracle, DB2, etc.).

* Working knowledge of multiple ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Pentaho, etc.) and business intelligence tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, SAS, etc.).

* Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), or related Agile methodologies.
