Duration: 12 Months Location: Remote Job Title: IT - Database Admin (Gen) Pay rate: $50 Position Overview: We are looking for a candidate with strong expertise in AWS, Python, and Terraform. The role involves working with various databases including MYSQL and RDS, with additional experience in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Couchbase, and DynamoDB being highly desirable. The primary application is used by hotels to manage inventory, and the role includes responsibilities related to disaster recovery. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience and be available to work remotely in the CST time zone. Key Requirements: Technical Skills: Proficient in AWS services and infrastructure. Strong programming skills in Python. Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code. Knowledge of MYSQL and RDS. Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Couchbase, and DynamoDB. Experience: 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Proven experience in managing disaster recovery processes. Location and Availability: Remote position. Must be able to work in the CST time zone. Day-to-Day Responsibilities (D2D): Database Management: Connect property management systems with various databases. Fine-tune queries for optimal performance. Infrastructure as Code: Develop and manage Terraform code for various regions. Support and Maintenance: Provide on-call support as needed. Review and release code updates. Support disaster recovery efforts and ensure system resilience. Desired Qualities: Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
