- Must have skills*Detail knowledge of IBM DB2 version 10.5 ,11.1 Administration.
- Detailed knowledge of DB2 Replication Server Administration.
- Detailed knowledge of DB2 server installations on standalone/DPF/HADR .
- Install, upgrade, and manage database.
- Manage database access. Adhere to best practices regarding access to and management of databases.
- Perform Database Migrations using Dump/Load , Inplace Upgrade.
- Improve database performance and operational excellence.
- Troubleshoot database-related application performance issues and recommend solutions.
- Perform Replication setup including table level/Warm Standby/MSA and tuning.
- Handling Replication operation issues.
- Having knowledge on Database Maintence task such as Dbcc, Reorg.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot live issues, internally or externally reported.
- Create / Modify automation for repeating database tasks.
- Communicate with and update management on systems health.
- Participate in on-call rotation and 24x7 supporting and troubleshooting database issues during Weekday and Weekends.
- Duties include maintenance of Database Servers in a development/testing environment.
- Having experience in raising PMR with IBM and getting the resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- 5 + years of relevant experience in 24x7, mission-critical environment.
- 5 + years Database Administration On IBM DB2 10.5 && 11.1 with at least 3 + years DB2 Replication experience.
- Proven ability in executing and supporting strategies to ensure the health of enterprise database environments.
- Successful track record in the hands-on support, monitoring, architecture, deploying, security, monitoring, performance and troubleshooting of DB2 Server instances.
- Ability to plan, communicate, perform and verify production changes.
- Ability to design and implement complex DR and high-availability/failover solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of database security, enterprise backup and restore, and replication strategies.
- Experience with Linux platform, Shell and Perl scripting is required.
- Strong sense of ownership in providing extremely secure, highly-available, fault-tolerant enterprise systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with all levels of the organization.
