Build and Maintain Database Systems: Design and implement high-quality database systems that meet the specialized needs of end-users. Ensure data availability, integrity, and security. User Management: Define user roles and permissions, enabling efficient data distribution in the appropriate format and timely manner. Backup and Recovery: Partner with infrastructure colleagues to maintain robust data backup and recovery strategies to minimize downtime and ensure data continuity. Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance, apply patches, and optimize query responses. Data Security and Privacy: Partner with infrastructure colleagues to enforce database policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard sensitive information. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues promptly and provide proactive support to users. Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of database design, changes, and coding. Innovate: Partner with infrastructure colleagues to enable safe use of Protected Health Information with predictive analytics and AI (R, Python, Copilot, and similar). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Database Administrator
- Minimum 3 years' experience
- Hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
- Technical Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of SQL, data backup, recovery, and security.
- Database Design: Familiarity with database design principles and documentation.
- Tools and Languages: Previous exposure to DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party.
