Job Description:

Job Summary: The NBOME is seeking a Cloud Database Administrator, who will play a critical role in managing and optimizing NBOMEs database infrastructure across Oracle, SQL-Server, and open-source platforms. This role ensures the high performance, security, and availability of both cloud-based and on-premises databases. The Administrator will oversee the migration of Oracle databases to AWS, provide ongoing support for SQL-Server and open-source databases, troubleshoot and resolve database issues, and implement strategic database improvements. Additionally, the role involves enhancing security protocols, conducting database upgrades, and driving a comprehensive database strategy that aligns with the organization's goals. Key Responsibilities: Plan, execute, and optimize the migration of Oracle databases to AWS, manage SQL-Server, and support open-source databases to ensure seamless operation and integration. Implement and enforce security protocols across all database environments, focusing on encryption, access control, and disaster recovery to protect data integrity. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance across multiple platforms, applying patches, performing upgrades, and ensuring system stability. Collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and leadership to oversee Oracle management on AWS, SQL-Server administration, and alignment with organizational objectives. Develop automation scripts and tools for routine database tasks, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing manual intervention. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by leadership, contributing to the overall success of the IT department. Qualifications include: Bachelors degree in a related discipline is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience within Oracle Database Administration is required Oracle DBA or SQL Server DBA Certification on the latest version preferred Candidate must possess strong organizational skills, be a self-starter and problem-solver and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Salary Information: The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. The range may be modified in the future. The NBOME is an EOE organization.
