Job Description:
The top investor-owned energy company in the US provides a wide range of energy-related products and services to its variety of customers which include renters, residential owners, small and medium sized businesses, commercial, industrial, community affairs, and more. Operating as one of the world's largest energy delivery systems across clean energy, electric, gas and steam services. Looking for a Database Administrator to join the Protection and Controls Engineering team and work cross functionally to develop, maintain, and update company PowerBase database. In this role, you will handle system maintenance and perform asset management duties to advance the design, operation, and reliability of protection and controls, and ensure assets in the field follow the required standards and procedures, as well as collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment with company compliance efforts. Responsibilities include;- Asset Management; Receive requests for asset creation, updates, and deletions within PowerBase, as well as perform administrative duties with adding or removing devices within the system.- Support operations by addressing data cleanup and resolving and/or escalating any issues that arise in PowerBase and work closely with Doble support team to conduct troubleshooting.- Directly manage PowerBase API's within the system.- Develop and maintain customized dashboards tailored to specific uand assist uby creating data queries to generate reports as needed.- Create and maintain automatic alerts aligned with business processes, such as the Settings reviewing process, and generate scheduled data reports to aid the management team, emphasizing relevant KPIs impacting business performance.- Conduct ETL processes to integrate data from other resources (e.g., MAXIMO, CAPE, ChangeGear) into PowerBase and generate operating documents.- Develop and enhance the user experience and interface.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Required Skills & Experience2+ years' experience in database management.Ability to develop and maintain dashboards.Asset management or work management system experience (IBM, Maximo, SAP, etc.)Experience with Power BI for data visualizationBachelor's Degree in a technical field.Comfortable 3 days a week onsite in NYC. Nice to Have Skills & ExperienceExperience in Doble PowerBase.Familiarity with relay protection and controls.Understanding of state, local, and utility standards and regulations.
