Position Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Developer who will design and manage scalable database solutions, optimizing performance for data analytics and business applications. This role involves creating and maintaining data models, reports, dashboards, and ETL pipelines to support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across systems. The developer will collaborate with data science and engineering teams to build data pipelines for machine learning and analytics applications, while also optimizing queries and improving database architecture. Additionally, the role requires developing responsive web applications, APIs, and integrating data visualization tools for real-time insights. Proficiency in both relational and NoSQL databases, along with modern front-end frameworks, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Front End and Full stack Development
* Develop responsive, user-friendly web applications and dashboards using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
* Design and implement APIs and web services to support data-driven applications and analytics platforms.
* Integrate data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Apache Superset) into web applications for real-time reporting and insights.
Back-End Development
* Design and implement scalable relational and NoSQL database solutions to meet business requirements.
* Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data retrieval and reporting.
* Build and maintain ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading across multiple systems.
* Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to integrate databases with applications and analytics workflows.
Data and Analytics
* Create and manage data models, reports, and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
* Work with data science teams to build data pipelines for machine learning models and analytics applications.
* Optimize data analytics performance by tuning queries and improving data architecture.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in application programming and PowerBI development.
* Proficiency in PowerBI for data visualization, reporting, and analytics.
* Experience with the SAFe Framework, Jira, O365 Planner, and other relevant tools.
* Advanced knowledge of SharePoint development and management.
* Certifications related to security, project management, or data analytics (e.g., PMP, CISM, or similar) preferred.
* Knowledge of vulnerability management processes and best practices.
* Familiarity with FISMA requirements and development of associated artifacts.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $114,600 to $147,800 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary is $132,700. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
