Job Description:
The Bowery Mission is a Christian, faith-based organization committed since the 1870s to serving people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. The Bowery Mission meets essential needs and creates transformative communities with men, women, children, and families in New York so that we can together overcome homelessness and poverty and flourish.As a member of the Development Team, the Database & Donor Services Coordinator supports both the Database Manager and Donor Services Supervisor. From February through September, the Coordinator assists the Database Manager in ensuring data integrity, managing projects, and providing basic CRM support. From October through January, the Coordinator assists the Donor Services Supervisor with daily gift processing, donor relations, and gift receipting.Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:CRM Support (reset user passwords, troubleshoot user permission issues, escalate technical issues to the Database Manager, create reports, dashboards, and list views as requested by users or to enhance own workflow, etc.)Data Hygiene (ensure data integrity by maintaining a data hygiene schedule, clean up, standardize, and dedupe data, assist with other data clean-up/hygiene projects as directed by the Database Manager, etc.)Gift Processing and Donor Data Information (import gifts from multiple sources and/or update donors' biographical data into database, reconcile any gift discrepancies with gift processing vendor, post daily closing reports, etc.)Project Coordination and Communication (within project teams and with Donors)Qualifications:Embrace the organization's Statement of Faith.Bachelor's degree.Minimum of two years' of relevant experience.High integrity and ability to develop trust-based relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to establish priorities, navigate overlapping timelines, and meet deadlines.Professional and positive attitude.Preferred:Knowledge of nonprofits and philanthropy.High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office software.Proficiency with CRM databases.Salary commensurate with relevant education & experience: $50,000 to $55,000 per yearThe Bowery Mission takes the health & safety of our staff, guests, clients, and volunteers very seriously, and especially as it relates to the current Covid-19 pandemic.Due to the number of applications we receive, we are only able to respond to qualified candidates who are selected for interviews.
