Please contact Human Resources if you require an accommodation.BASIC FUNCTION: Assist with the monitoring, installation, configuration and maintenance of critical datacenter, network and Audio-Visual (AV) infrastructure supporting ESD business operations. Monitor datacenter operations and infrastructure responding to incidents on a as needed basis. Provide after-hours support and travel to other ESD office locations as necessary. Deliver end user support for all network and AV related devices.WORK PERFORMED:
- Monitor datacenter operations and environmental controls to ensure uninterrupted service
- Assist with the installation, configuration and administration of network and video conferencing related infrastructure, equipment, and software necessary to support ESD's critical business functions
- Assist with setup and support of AV solutions and equipment to include Polycom systems, Click Share, Zoom, and WebEx
- Assist with monitoring backup and restore operations
- Coordinate telecom services for staff onboarding, offboarding, moves and changes with the Help Desk and Administrative Services
- Liaise with third party vendors to ensure that ESD's requirements being met when new/upgraded services are implemented
- Rack, stack, power and provide management connections for network attached devices
- Create and manage support tickets with 3rd party vendors in response to any type of network degradation
- Utilize network management best practices and tools to investigate and resolve network related performance issues
- Assist with integrating technologies from different vendors in a heterogeneous networking environment
- Hands on installation, configuration and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure at ESD's datacenters and satellite offices
- Document and maintain SOPs in areas of responsibility
- Assist in IT Disaster Recovery efforts, testing and documentation
- Travel to various remote office locations as necessary
- Perform other IT related duties as required by management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education Level required: A degree in an IT related discipline with minimum of 3 years' experience in related field; Or a HS diploma with a minimum of 5 years' experience; Or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.Relevant Experience required: Experience in Datacenter and Network operations.Knowledge required: Windows (OS) 10/11, familiarity with Cloud computing architecture, VOIP, Enterprise wireless solutions, switches and routers, SDWAN and ISP experience, Cat 6 cabling, UPS appliances, familiarity with VMware 7.0 + and VMware VDI solutions, Some Help Desk functionality. Ability to work with a diverse group of people at both a functional and technical level and communicate at a level appropriate to audience; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.*Must be okay to travel for work when needed.
