Job Description:
* Work with WAN Teams for cross campus connectivity setup and support.
* Work with HPC on Profiling GPU Nodes
* Work with Cabling Vendors to assist on BoM to actual cable design
* Rack and cable large inventory of servers, switches, PDUs and infrastructure
* Perform initial configuration for new devices and installs
* Assist with Data Center capacity and expansion planning
* Prepare and Install Fiber/Copper cabling including jumpers and trunks
* Process inbound tickets for: new installs, break-fix, troubleshooting and decommissions
* Server rack and stack including power whip install and cable management
* Identify connectivity issues such as bad SFP's, fiber cables or device configurations
* Engage with hardware vendors such as Cisco, Dell, HP and more for RMA replacements
* Contribute feedback to further optimize install time, cooling capacity and ticket completion rate
* Install SM & MM Fiber Cables in the data center
* Review cutsheets, determine route and install equipment
* Server rack and stack installation and server migration
* Work DCIM and DSO-I tickets for cable installation and any troubleshooting
* Install, wire and dress power cables to servers and network devices
Required Experience:
* Deployment and operations (CPU/GPU/Network) -- Rack and Stack and cable.
* Experience in LINUX
* Familiar with Operations Systems
* Familiar with Storage Systems
* Excellent time management and communications skills are absolute must.
* Ability to step up and take ownership to bring complex tasks to completion
* Ability to travel across Tesla Datacenter locations within and outside NA.
* Experience at large scale data center in previous gigs and remote systems management absolute must.
* Understanding the DC Layout (Rack/PDU/Cable Tray/Wire Management) absolute must.
* Hands on exposure to DC Operations tools.
* Fiber cabling experience
