Job Title: Data Center Technician

Location: Memphis, TN

Contract estimation: 3 months

Schedule: 2 different shift types: 7am-4pm or 11am-8pm. 7 days a week. No more than 40 hours per week.

• Shifts may include weekend work. Must be okay with either of those shifts and the possibility that work days could include weekends

Targeted experience: Network install/cable technicians familiar with rack/stack, crash carts, and addressing hardware issues on blades, switches, and cables.

Requirements:

• Rack and Stack Experience
• Strong Networking understanding
• Data Center Install Experience

Responsibilities:

• Lay and install cables, including fiber optic and network cables
• Rack and stack datacenter equipment
• Utilize crash carts and server lifts for equipment handling
• Perform hardware fixes on blades, switches, and other components during hardware checkout
• Respond to support requests for hardware actions on system components
• Use specialized lifts to move heavy components (up to 90 lbs) safely, adhering to all safety protocols (2-person lift)
• Unbox and install electronic boards into mainframe cabinets
• Execute tasks in Phase 2 Advanced Hardware Installation
• Replace mainframe CPU boards as part of hardware updates

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of related experience
• Strong understanding of network installation and cabling
• Physical ability to lift 45 lbs
