As Camp Director, you have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of both staff and campers by creating a memorable experience! One Director and one Assistant Director are needed at each Day Camp site.Day Camp Programs: *Training will begin the week of May 1st
- Kindercamp serves up to 50 campers, grades K - 240 hours/week; 7 am - 6 pm for 8 weeksMonday - Friday, June 23 - August 15, 2025Mandatory Staff Training: June 16 - 20 (excluding June 19)
- Camp 'Quah serves up to 60 campers, grades 2 - 540 hours/week; 7 am - 6 pm for 9 weeksMonday - Friday, June 23 - August 22, 2025Mandatory Staff Training: June 16 - 20 (excluding June 19)
- Adventure Camp serves up to 40 campers, grades 5 - 7 40 hours/week; 7 am - 6 pm for 8 weeksMonday - Friday, June 23 - August 15, 2025Mandatory Staff Training: June 16 - 20 (excluding June 19)

- Always ensure the safety of staff and campers.
- Create a positive and inclusive camp culture that fosters growth and development.
- Positively model behavior and leadership traits for staff and campers.
- Effectively communicate with supervisor, staff, campers, and families.
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with your team.
- Plan, prepare, and facilitate daily activities and schedules.
- Organize and maintain camp facilities in terms of safety & cleanliness.
- Effectively manage any conflicts or issues that may arise.
Qualifications
- Must show a passion for working with children and creating a fun, active, and positive environment.
- Must show strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a minimum of 19 years old.
- Must pass a criminal background check prior to onboarding.
- Must have current CPR & AED certification by the first day of camp. The city will offer training.
Paid Sick Leave is available to employees to care for their own health and safety, and for the health and safety of their family members. All non-exempt employees in part-time, non-regular positions shall accrue paid Sick and Safe Leave at the rate of one (1) hour for forty (40) hours worked, beginning from date of hire.Some part-time, non-regular positions are eligible for retirement benefits through the Washington State Retirement System.
